2015 Mosquito Hill Pinot Blanc

As Pinot Blanc is either the parent ( or uncle/aunt ) of chardonnay , it seems not inappropriate to make it in the same way as our Chardonnay, which is what we do. We have one acre only of Pinot Blanc and it produced 1.1 tonnes ( 19.5 hl/ha ) , in 2015.
The grapes were air bagged pressed and after cold settling the juice was transferred to old French oak barriques for fermentation and elevage.The wine was bottled without fining or filtration. It is quite a savoury dry white style with enough fruit to make it interesting. Quite obviously the production was small with only 100 cases made.
