2012 Mosquito Hill Les Blancs

In 2010 and 2011 we grafted an acre and a half of our Chardonnay vines, over to Pinot Blanc (1 acre) and Savagnin (1/2 acre). The grapes are the probable father and great grandfather, respectively, of Chardonnay. It there somehow seems appropriate to make a sort of Chardonnay Family wine, which we call Les Blancs (The Whites). The fruitiness of the Savagnin is tempered by the savouriness of the Pinot Blanc and the suaveness of the Chardonnay. The aim was to produce a chrisp dry white which could be either drunk as an apertif or with food.
